It felt like backing a 25-1 winner opening the curtains and finding no more snow had fallen overnight, unfortunately the extra meeting at Lingfield has succumbed to the elements today. Not surprising when a foot of snow has covered the track. Although the racing is not my cup of tea, it is still a big hats off to all concerned for keeping the show on the road, the logistics of appearing at the course is a frightening thought, and I wonder if it is worth the risk, must the show go on?
