Black Jack Blues held entries over the weekend, namely in Newbury’s 3.45pm on Saturday, but has popped up in the 2.20 at Ffos Las today. An exercise in clever placement by Rebecca Curtis who heads up the hottest of hot trainers in the Racing Post’s signposts and when A P is riding for her the strike rate is almost as good.
Rebecca Curtis’ record in bumpers/national hunt flat races if possible is even better so even though Exotic Man is favourite in Ffos Las 5.40, I would prefer to be on Sir Bere.
Souter Point made too much use of himself in a recent visit to Sandown. For his hurdling debut he ran on bottomless ground and was only 9 lengths behind one of the main protagonists for next week’s Fred Winter Juvenile Hurdle Open Day.
