Catterick Leicester review 2nd March

Run of the mill stuff at both meetings today, and not a lot to report, backed Easter Vic in the staying handicap hurdle at Catterick and though she was being pushed the whole way,she plugged on and on her first run for over three months she may win a soft ground staying handicap in the future,my each way fancy Hard Act set a sedate pace and rallied when passed to take third in the novice hurdle won by fav Good Old Thyne.Cat Six was well placed by new connections to land a mediocre mares handicap hurdle after winning a point, backed this mare before when Trevor Wall trained, should have gone in at double figure odds this morning but didn’t,so could not back her at 7’s.

Took wide by Andrew Thornton throughout Wherrimon followed up his course and distance win a fortnight ago,his sound jumping won the day as he triumphed in a photo.Blazing Bailey broke his maiden over fences, the ex top class staying hurdler is a careful rather than fluent jumper of fences and will always struggle in the top flight, shame because he is a willing type.My Old Piano followed up in the hunter chase to add to his six consecutive point wins,Leicester’s jump season ends next week with it’s usual amateur jockeys card.
