Tanya’s Blog - One of my selections today is TIDAL BAY

Jack Frost booked the evening off last night so we can enjoy the racing today.  However the ramifications of his possible mischief making have meant nearly three hours has been taken to remove the covers from Cheltenham’s green, green, grass.  Destination Sandown for the covers where looking at the forecast they may well be working overtime in the lead up to Saturday’s meeting.   Between Racing UK’s Nick Luck and Pricewise they have tipped a plethora of winners and their level stake profit could indeed pay off the country’s building debt.  Today Little Josh for Nick Luck and Aiteen Thirtythree for Tom Segal are contracting in the market.  Question marks on how much 9-1 Aiteen Thirtythree was available as all that is on offer now is 6-1, but seeing as he failed as favourite in the Hennessy, I am looking elsewhere in the Sky Bet Chase.    RIGUEZ DANCER appeared to need four miles the way he was running on at Musselburgh, he casually glided into third and at 25-1 or bigger for me he is not to be missed.  Sky Bet state that if the 15 stand their ground they will still pay out on first four places!!!  The one that I believe can outgun Riguez Dancer is Galaxy Rock, so I’m backing them both and putting them in a forecast.   The only other selection today is TIDAL BAY, he may not have won for a couple of years but his performance on New Year’s Day over hurdles showed he retained all his ability and questionable character.  He ran well in the Argento Chase 12 months ago consenting to run on late and this to me is a weaker race.   Tomorrow keep an eye out for NOTUS DE LA TOUR at Leopardstown, fingers crossed he can reverse form with Blackstairmountain.   Good luck today, I’m now off to the programme meeting, then three interviews with bookmakers for a Cheltenham Festival feature, then tipping in a box, or should I say bismarking and then present Cheltenham with a trophy for being Racegoers Club Racecourse of the year and finally get ready to go on air again for 1.55.   POINTERS   Alan King has won Cheltenham’s JCB Triumph Hurdle trial three times from his last five runners, today he has Grumeti.   Venetia Williams has won Cheltenham’s 1.30 three times from her last six runners.   The last ten winners of Cheltenham’s 1.30 have come from the first three in the betting.   12 of the last 13 winners of Cheltenham’s 2.05 have been aged 9 or younger   Nine of the last ten winners of Cheltenham’s 2.05 finished either first or second on their previous start   Poquelin has won five times and finished second twice in his 13 runs at Cheltenham   Seven of the last ten winners of Cheltenham’s 2.05 have carried 10-7 or less   Only 2 of the winners of the last 19 winners of Cheltenham’s 2.05 have been a double figure price.   Five of the last seven winners of the Argento Chase have been aged 10 or older   The last 12 favourites in the Argento Chase have all been beaten   The last five winners of the Argento Chase were all beaten on their previous start   Midnight Chase has won four of his seven races at Cheltenham   Knockara Beau is 0 from 8 at Cheltenham   Time For Rupert has won 3 of his 6 races at Cheltenham   Big Buck’s has won five of his six races at Cheltenham   All of the last ten winners of Cheltenham’s 3.10 have been aged 5 or 6   Paul Nicholls last six runners in Cheltenham’s 3.10 have all been beaten   Corkage has won both his starts at Doncaster he runs in the 1.15   The last seven winners of the SkyBet Chase have been 9 or younger   Six of the last 8 winners of the SkyBet Chase came from the first three in the betting   The last 8 winners of the SkyBet Chase carried 11-2 or less
