Tanya’s Blog - I am hoping Brackloon High can turn my luck around in the 1.10 at Fontwell
BRACKLOON HIGH, I thought ran an absolute blinder on his return to the track after nearly a year off. He finished a very close fifth in a highly competitive handicap hurdle at Cheltenham to Rangitoto. To see him over the bigger obstacles should be a joy and he takes his chance in Fontwell’s 1.10 this afternoon.
I know I flagged up Sizing Europe at the weekend but I am hoping Brackloon High can turn my luck around. He is my only pick of the day.
Watergate undoubtedly holds chances in the 2.10 while Current Climate will be watched with keen interest, I hope he stays on much better than he did at Folkestone recently.
Yesterday’s HWPA Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London were top entertainment and I’m sure quite a few that attended have not long been home. I had a tremendous draw on the sponsor’s table and met up with so many old friends from all the racecourses across the country!
Peter O’Dowd the Romford Greyhound Stadium Racing Manager was also in attendance. Which reminds me Greyhound TV is about to launch soon on the Sky Platform and Romford is one of the tracks covered. I will give you the full details of where to view at the weekend.
I sheepishly was asked on stage to give a charity bet for the Festival which was £250 each-way for Quito De La Roque to win the Gold Cup. Tony O’Hehir gave Sir Deschamps to win the RSA Chase while Andy Stewart put his charity bet on Ghizao this weekend!
Congratulations go to all the award winners especially Lee Mottershead, Journalist of the Year who would surely be up for Broadcaster of the Year as well if given the chance to show his talents. And, of course, Nick Luck who regained his crown as Broadcaster of the Year.
