Tanyas Blog - A big warm welcome back to Ryan Moore today

As I watched Shamrock Rovers go one up on Tottenham on Thursday night at 9.10pm, it gives continued realisation that in sport anything can and does happen.  It seemed to liven Spurs up and the following three quick goals and the play surrounding them were a joy to watch.

Barmy temperatures continue forcing me to bring the factor 50 out of retirement, the better half will be joined by Andy Stewart and Paul Nicholls at Fontwell and I believe a big run is expected from Rippling Ring at 3.50, 751 days off the course, what a performance if he could win.

Also did you notice a winner for Luke Rowe last night at Kempton, it was for his father Richard Rowe.  I flagged Luke up as an apprentice to follow not so long ago and I hope sooner or later he will be snapped up by a big stable or get more rides as he has a great strike rate and is value for his seven pound allowance.

A big warm welcome back to Ryan Moore who returns to the saddle in Ascot’s 2.20 aboard Tuscania, yet I suspect CAPE CLASSIC may spoil the party just as the hot weather is spoiling Workforce’s chances.  Cape Classic seemed to get lost in a big field at Newmarket last time.  He should be able to keep tabs on his nine rivals today.

BARBICAN hasn’t stopped improving all season and won a very competitive handicap over two furlongs shorter at the course 27 days ago.  Buthelezi was my each-way pick in the St Leger but I didn’t realise he had duties to perform as pacemaker, back in a race in his own right he could be very dangerous.  Barbican did carry top weight in on his last start and appeared to race away from his rivals.  I sense there still is improvement in him and he can land the Noel Murless Stakes over this further distance.
