A P McCoy goes all the way to Hereford for just one ride which for me is a tip in itself and he is teaming up with Nicky Henderson who has had six winners from his last nine runners so it is hard to ignore Shakalakaboomboom, even the horse’s name is unforgettable! He will find tough opposition in Oscar Gogo as that rival won easily on heavy a month ago at Chepstow, however he receives six pounds which might be enough.
There will be an intriguing tussle between Flanagan and Malindi Bay at 4.40pm. The pair have had long layoffs since their last start and both act on at least heavy. It is the hurdle debut for Malindi Bay and seeing as he gets seven pounds from Flanagan I go for Kim Bailey’s runner.
Frankie Dettori and Mark Johnston are teaming up all evening at Kempton and the action will be live on Racing UK. They could come away with at least three winners so keep an eye on them.
Finally be careful what you read tomorrow in the papers – check the date!
