Tanya's Blog - PLEASANT DAY, not the current weather, but my selection

PLEASANT DAY, not the current weather at Goodwood or the potential forecast, but my selection for the totesport Mile at 3.10. Yes, you are reading it right he is the 66-1 outsider of the whole field!!!!  Lost In The Moment was one of those excruciating moments where there was an inevitability about his last gasp run, he was never going to get there but it was going to be close.

Like Lost In The Moment, Pleasant Day didn’t have a clear run in the John Smith’s Cup but his form figure is far from flattering.  The drop back to a mile will suit and the only thing to concern is the draw.  The John Smith’s Cup’s also rans are subsequently coming out and performing well, so of course the utmost respect is to be paid to Green Destiny as he did race away with the York contest and he has a blinding draw in stall 2.  But if Pleasant Day manages to sneak fourth, I will get more for that little effort than if Green Destiny won.  As for a sneaky combination forecast on the race, I’m mixing Green Destiny with Pleasant Day and Confront, should be a fun watch.

INDIAN DAYS has run well in races he couldn’t possibly win and back to a sensible grade, the Coutts Glorious Stakes, he becomes a very interesting proposition.  Chef will have the recipe for success and give the headline writes plenty of chances to cook up all the clichés one can in the 2:35.

Chris Dixon has just pointed out that when Ryan Moore rides QUALITY ART he wins, three from three is the perfect record at present.

Then in the Oak Tree Stakes at 4.50 I like RIMTH, she was so impressive on debut at Newbury, ignore her run in the French Guineas, she is the one to be on.

At Newmarket this evening I have come up with the following selections 5.50 JOE STRUMMER, 6.20 JUSTINEO, 6.55 MISTER MUSIC, 7.30 MARAJAA, 8.05 BAND OF THUNDER, 8.35 GOLDEN COMPASS
