Tanya's Blog, March 25

The search for a winner is now getting desperate, first port of call could well be First Point at Ludlow, he was my each-way selection in the Totesport Trophy where he ran a blinder in sixth, he now reverts to the bigger obstacles and maybe AP McCoy can come to my rescue.

Evan Williams, The Snail has been phenomenal all season and deserves plenty of recognition, he goes in Ludlow’s 3.35pm and with a valuable 5lb alleviated from his saddle can go close.

There are too many odds-on shots for my liking at Ayr but I will have an interest in Snowy who won at this meeting in 2007.

Bay Hill starts today, it is a specialists course and Loren Roberts served me well a long time ago when he won back-to-back, my three off the tee are Vaughan Taylor, Brandt Snedeker and Sean O’Hair

TANYA’S POINTERS

Donald McCain jnr who is still basking in the glory of two winners at the Cheltenham Festival has had three winners and three seconds from his last 11 runners

No question the jockey to benefit from Donald McCain jnr’s success is Jason Maguire and watch out for him at Ayr this afternoon as he has had four winners from his last nine hurdle rides at the course

James Reveley is also doing well at present with three winners and a second from his last eight runners

Martin Dwyer is enjoying a 50% strike rate with five winners from his last ten rides

Charlie Egerton has had three winners from his last four runners at Ludlow
