What a day in store, personally I can’t wait for Eurovision this evening as I have a good position on Switzerland at 500-1 and to finish in the top ten which I will hedge out of once she’s chimed up drawn 13 of the 25.  I am also on Estonia, same type of song as the Swiss but just drawn better.  Hungary should run well but the singer is a bit of a statue on stage, she needs to project herself better.  I face a nervy three hours having laid France at 7-4 but I suspect after Azerbaijan have sung I will be able to back France at 9-4 or maybe bigger.    Before that there is the FA Cup at Wembley, Manchester City v Stoke should be a great final but sadly I be either on air or stuck in the car for most of the match.    Then there is the racing today, Newbury and the Lockinge Stakes, quite simply I think Canford Cliffs will win.  At least four of the runners will struggle to keep up in that sort of class.  He faces his biggest threat from Dick Turpin and maybe the Italian, Worthadd who has come in for some support each-way.  DOMINANT in the 3.10 at Newbury has come in for some notable hefty wagers while my only other selection is NANTON at Newmarket, I thought he ran a cracker in the first race of his current flat campaign, stuck in splendid isolation when the race hotted up and unable to be competitive.  There are plenty of non-runners floating about, check and double check for them.    POINTERS   Check out Signposts in the Racing Post on page today, if you can’t get a copy of the paper it flags up the fact that Tim Vaughan, Mahmood Al Zarooni and Henry Candy are all trainers to follow at present, while Richard Killoran has ridden four of his five rides to victory, he is at Bangor today   The biggest starting price of the Lockinge winner in the last ten years has been 9-1   Five of the last eight favourites have won   Ten of the last eleven winners of the Bet365 Mile at Sandown to run in the Lockinge have been beaten (today Dick Turpin)   Seven of the last ten Lockinge winners were aged four   Five of the last eight Lockinge winners were making their seasonal debut   Eight of the last ten winners of the Lockinge were beaten on their last start   Thirteen of the last sixteen winners of the Lockinge had won a Group One over a mile which leaves just Canford Cliffs and Dick Turpin   Richard Hughes and Canford Cliffs have teamed up for five wins, a second and two thirds from eight races   George Baker has teamed up with Premio Loco for seven wins, three seconds and a third from 14 races
